‘Twas the night before Christmas and the creatures were all stirring.
But Santa came to our house anyway.
And Christmas morning brought excitement.
Kai was really good. He didn’t get up too early (unlike some dogs), and helped come up with plans to alternate between opening presents and taking the dogs for a walk, half at a time.
When it came to opening presents, he chose the ones for everyone to open. Some of his he ripped open.
And some he took peek first as if to confirm that it was what he was hoping it would be.
But he enjoyed all of it, as all of his Santas were very generous.
And then it came time to play with his new presents.
He took time our for dinner.
And by the end of the evening, all of the creatures were worn out, not stirring at all.
Hope your holiday was just as delightful.
Looks like a lot of fun! Your dad is looking good!
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun day, indeed, Betsy.
DeleteIt looks as if Kai really had a good time with that project kit. In all of the photos, the dogs look so calm...of course, especially in the last photo :)
ReplyDeleteDo they never fight with each other?
Kai really enjoys building things. He loves Legos, of course, but he is getting very patient and good with other types of kits as well. The one pictured is a catapult, which he enjoyed not only building, but firing as well.
DeleteAll of the dogs here on Christmas were well behaved with great dispositions. They are very active early in the morning, but after going for a walk and playing in our backyard, they calmed down and were mostly napping while we opened presents.
They never fight with each other, getting angry only if one comes near another's food. A few of the younger ones really enjoyed playing with each other, with the smallest one not afraid to mix it up with the bigger ones. We are now down to four dogs -- one of the remaining ones was sad after his favorite playmate went home yesterday.
