On Monday, my son had three major incidents at school.
On Tuesday, he earned 100% on his point sheet, meaning that his behavior was outstanding.
Yesterday, he had two major incidents.
What will today bring? Who knows?
The ups and downs are frustrating because we do not have a good idea why it is happening.
On Tuesday, his good day, there were some changes from the usual routine that could have set Kai off. But, it didn’t. He was flexible. He handled it well.
But then yesterday he could not hold it together.
And we don’t know why.
Up. Down. Up. Down.
Good thing I like seesaws.
Hang in there (I know...easy for me to say :)
ReplyDeleteYou will have more and more of those good days. He is trying his little heart out I am sure. I am rooting for him...and for you too :)
Thanks for the encouragement!
ReplyDeleteaaaargh so frustrating
ReplyDeleteMany many many hugs
Hope the good streak starts back up again
Thanks, K.
ReplyDeleteFor years we struggled trying to figure out why certain days were good and others bad without success. Finally we decided that the good days were the result of the "stars all being aligned with the moon", and the bad days not. In other words we accepted that we really had no control over the day to day "bad or good" and just had to keep at what we were doing and hope things would improve in the long run.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, it still didn't make the bad
days any less frustrating.
Hang in there!

Myra, what a great way of looking at things. We try not to get too high or low, but the changes lately have been so dramatic that it is harder to keep an even keel.
